• Karen Lisko Editor-in-Chief

  Karen has spent most of her career in community journalism across Northeast Ohio, with a focus on local government and public policy. She oversees editorial direction, standards, and day-to-day newsroom operations at the Herald.

• Marcus Redmond Managing Editor

  Marcus manages the editorial calendar, coordinates coverage across beats, and edits the majority of the Herald's reporting. He has a background in digital media and a longstanding interest in how land use decisions shape small communities.

• Jenna Kowalski Senior Staff Writer

  Jenna covers Mentor city government, including council meetings, budgets, and infrastructure projects. She grew up in Lake County and brings deep familiarity with the communities she reports on.

• David Osei Staff Reporter

  David reports on public education, covering the Mentor school district and neighboring systems in eastern Lake County. He is particularly interested in school funding, curriculum decisions, and student outcomes.

• Alicia Tran Staff Reporter

  Alicia covers neighborhood development, small business, and lakefront community issues from Mentor Headlands to the surrounding townships. Before joining the Herald, she worked in local radio and print journalism in Ohio.
